This is an original banknote of the 1 billion Zimbabwean dollars banknote. As outrageous as it sounds, this banknote was issued in the African country of Zimbabwe in the period 2006-2016. The governor of the country since 1987 (after the independence of the country from the British) was Robert Mugabe. In 2006, the country's central bank, due to terrible financial problems, decided to print money to generate revenue for the state at the behest of Mugabe. Obviously this money had no value and was not recognized resulting in inflation reaching 240,000,000%. This banknote at most could buy 1 egg. The country has now adopted the US dollar as a currency to stabilize inflation. Very rare banknote
