Here is a replica of a 20 dollar Gold Coin reportedly issued by CSA. The idea was proposed in 1861 for the coin to be struck at the mint in New Orleans. It was a rumor some coins were struck but there is no evidence to support the stories.
What makes this one stand out is the nice detail (a good strike) and it appears to be older.
Pictured on the front of the coin is Lady Liberty seated with the Con. States shield in her left hand. In her right hand is the flag of freedom and to her immediate right is a sugar hogshead, a bale of cotton and a bale of tobacco. Behind Lady Liberty is a field of sugar cane and also a field of cotton and tobacco growing in various stages.
The Southern States were mainly agricultural. While the Northern States of the Union were industrial.
